Organized the second edition of "Social Impact Upshift Workshop"


Back Upshift: Social Impact of the second edition Workshop organized by the Laboratory for Innovation of UNICEF in Kosovo.
"Upshift: Social Impact Workshop" or Workshop impact on society is dynamic model to bring together ideas, problems, youth and various educational methods and innovative design and solve various social problems identified in advance by youth.

The second edition's Upshift will be held in Ferizaj from 13-15 March 2015, while the call to identify the problems of young people has already begun and will last until 4 March 2015.

Joshua Harvey, manager of the Laboratory for Innovation of UNICEF in Kosovo, states that: "Social Impact Upshift Workshop is a new model that comes in Kosovo, precisely designed by young people, but also by international experts and staff of the Laboratory".

Further, Harvey underlines the importance of this workshop saying "Innovation Laboratory for UNICEF in Kosovo continues to bring new opportunities for young Kosovars, who through their talent to contribute to solving various social problems, but also to gain new skills and experiences that will help you in the future ".

The first workshop was held in Gjakova, in October last year, bringing creative projects extremely interesting and positive impact on the communities they come from these projects.

Meanwhile, Bujar Dujak from the village Cërmjan, members of the Upshift ekpiti's winner last year, described the workshop as "opportunity, had experience, enjoyment, challenge, benefit, resurrection; all in one place. "Cërmjan Creative Center, the project in which generosity is involved, aims at increasing the importance of reading and provides educational training for young people of the Municipality of Djakovica.

While the Laboratory for Innovation team of UNICEF in Kosovo has started an information campaign for young people visiting many schools and youth centers, but also through social networks.

Valon Nushi, coordinator of the workshop shows that "the number of young people interested in is enormous and it is impressive to see how young people manage to identify various problems that face every day and through different methods and techniques to find creative solutions ".

"Social Impact Upshift Workshop" is open to all young people of Ferizaj, Hani Jankovic, Shtërpce, Kacaniku and surrounding villages, between ages 16-26 years. While the ten teams selected to compete for five first prizes, which will be funded for a period of 3 months following the workshop, to be further developed their idea and project.
